What’s New With Katherine
Stunning actress and former ballet dancer Katherine LaNasa, stars as the wildly hilarious Rose Brady, wife to North Carolina’s #1 politician Cam Brady (Will Ferrell), in the upcoming Warner Bros comedy The Campaign, in theaters nationwide on Friday, August 10th. LaNasa serves as the glue holding the Brady camp together as Cam (Ferrell) faces his first ever opponent in the North Carolina Elections. The naive moron, Higgins (Galifianakis) allows his big heart to boost his confidence in order to run against the normally unopposed Brady.
The New Orleans native took her dancing talents to Winston Salem at a young age where she studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Later, she ventured to New York where she traveled the world professionally with a prestigious ballet troupe. During a chance trip to Los Angeles for a LIFE Magazine shoot with her ballet company, Katherine met former husband, actor Dennis Hopper, with whom she shares a child. After a bicoastal relationship, LaNasa eventually moved to LA where she caught the acting bug. Between Hopper’s casting calls and the inspiration of greats like Sydney Pollack and Sanford Meisner, she attended the Neighbourhood Playhouse to hone in on her craft.
Katherine’s charm took over the television screen when she landed a lead role in the NBC comedy series, Three Sisters. She has also held appearances on a number of primetime successes including Two and a Half Men, Big Love, Lie to Me, Justified and House. On the big screen Katherine appeared in 2010’s celebrity studded feature Valentine’s Day.
LaNasa’s star is on the rise this year as she balances wedding plans with actor Grant Show (Melrose Place) and continues to ignite the silver screen in a slew of upcoming films and television shows including taking the lead in Jayne Mansfield’s Car, directed by Billy Bob Thorton,The Frozen Ground with John Cusack and Nicholas Cage, NBC’s primetime soap Infamous alongside Meagan Good — and a current recurring role on the praised A&E period drama Longmire.
